Infant and child Lifejackets have for too long been built to a budget, with little concern for design to improve wearability. With NEMO our design brief focused on creating a baby and toddler lifejacket with supreme comfort and wearability for small bodies. A unique, soft, rounded belly shape delivers a very compact design in two sizes, baby and toddler. Fun shapes and bold colours, give a playful look to this lifejacket harness keeping our younger boaters safe and comfortable on the water.
We have designed NEMO to be simple to adjust so that parents can fit it simply and quickly and most importantly fitting it close to the body to ensure it is comfortable and minimise unnecessary distracting movement when worn. Soft neoprene is used in the collar and leg strap to give further comfort over long periods of wear and when in light clothes in hotter climates.
Further design detail includes a back attached harness giving security, whilst avoiding cluttering the front and help keeps small hands away from the clips. Plenty of easy-to-grab handles front and back when needed in a rush, but cleverly designed to reduce any snagging risk. The use of high-volume buoyancy foam and supporting collar ensures that children will be turned and the head supported out of the water even if they are non-swimmers.
