They mount easily on the bow or stern of cruisers, sport boats, sailboats, trawlers and more. No expensive tunnel is required, and our unique universal mounting system requires no holes below the waterline, eliminating the risk of leaks associated with all other types of thruster systems. In fact, while other types of thrusters can take days to install and should only be done by a professional, our revolutionary design will normally take you only hours to complete, saving you thousands of dollars in installation costs. And your boat can often be back on the water the same day!

The SS340 Bow Thruster from Sideshift is perfect for boats up to 40' in length; the unit mounts on the exterior of a V-shaped bow. This creates a forward pivot point that gives the boater optimum control. No expensive tunnel in the hull is required and all mounting holes are above the waterline. Offering an immediate response with its powerful water cooled 12V motor, the heavy-duty 8" aluminum propellers quickly pull the boat quietly and smoothly. Saltwater proven, the rugged aluminum and stainless steel bow thruster is anode protected to prevent corrosion. It is finished with anti-fouling paint over epoxy primer.

Sideshift’s externally mounted bow and stern thrusters are easy to mount, with no holes below the waterline. They’re the ideal solution for any V-hull boat including cruisers, sports boats, wakeboats, sailboats, and trawlers.
