I left my old sailing boots in a taxi, and was very sad to have lost that old, oh-so comfortable pair. I considered Dubarry, but now I’m (medically) retired I can neither afford nor justify the expense. But I wanted leather boots none-the-less, boots I can wear all day and all night if necessary.
I chose Apache Moose. Very very pleased!! I’ve done two long days in them now, and literally don’t notice I’m wearing them. Even a long yomp to the pub and back at high tide, there was no rubbing or discomfort in any way.
There are several offerings in the £100 price range, and of course I can’t speak for the others, but these are terrific.
Needless to say it’s always a pleasure to do business with Cactus Navigation as well. They don’t stand out in a Google search, which is a pity, because I’ve always found them to be exemplary.
And - importantly - they didn’t come and nag me for a review after my purchase. In fact I wanted to track them down and leave this review unprompted, and without prejudice. Good experiences deserve to be shared!!
