Just add a drive unit to make this a complete autopilot system which includes AC12 Course Computer, RC42 Compass, RF300 Rudder Feedback and AP28 Control Unit.

AC12 Course Computer

The autopilot computer is the main unit in the Simrad AP24 and Simrad AP28 autopilot systems. It contains the steering computer and electronics for the drive unit motor and clutch and provides interface to other system components.

Two models, AC12 (8/16 A motor current) and AC42 (30/50 A motor current) are available. It communicates on the proprietary SimNet data and control network to establish a reliable digital communication and power distribution between the units in the autopilot system as well as other Simradproducts. SimNet provides high speed data transfer and control of Simrad products integrated in a total steering and navigation system.

RC42 Compass

 The Simrad RC42 rate compass provides a significant improvement to the dynamic performance of both the autopilot and a stabilized radar display.

The Simrad RC42 compass is designed for connection to the SimNet network. It is equipped with 5,5 m (18 feet) of SimNet cable with connector. The compass transmit the heading even if the autopilot is switched off.

RF300 Rudder Feedback

 Simrad rudder feedback units are high resolution units which contribute to gentle yet accurate steering that characterise the Simrad autopilots. They are rugged units designed to withstand the environment. Though Simrad now offers the virtual rudder feedback VRF™ for outboards and stern drive boats up to 40', it is neccesary to display rudder angle on your autopilot.

AP28 Control Unit

Complete set of Turn Patterns - including Depth Contour Tracking, programmable S-turn, Zigzag, Continuous turn, Square patterns and many more.

Improved steering algorithms - full Rate of Turn (ROT) control provides smooth and precise turns in any condition and improves tack and gybe performance on sailboats.

No Drift Course - Maintain set Course over Ground even in severe wind and current conditions.
