The new compact Simrad AC12 and Simrad AC42 autopilot computers, more powerful than ever, contain advanced software algorithms and are the brains of the system. These incorporate position and navigation data from the GPS chartplotter and wind, speed and depth data from the instrument system. The output is a smooth proportional control of the rudder with the utmost precision providing excellent steering performance an any sea condition with a minimum of power consumption.
The Simrad RC42 rate compass provides a significant improvement to the dynamic performance of both the autopilot and a stabilized radar display.
The Simrad RC42 compass is designed for connection to the SimNet network. It is equipped with 5,5 m (18 feet) of SimNet cable with connector. The compass transmit the heading even if the autopilot is switched off.

The compass is NMEA2000 compatible and outputs PGN 127250 and 127251
- Calibrated heading, transmission rate of 20 Hz when selected as heading source on SimNet,

RF 300 Rudder Feedback
Simrad rudder feedback units are high resolution units which contribute to gentle yet accurate steering that characterise the Simrad autopilots. They are rugged units designed to withstand the environment. Though Simrad now offers the virtual rudder feedback VRF™ for outboards and stern drive boats up to 40', it is neccesary to display rudder angle on your autopilot.
